Guardians of Gaia
Project Description
In this 6-month eTwinning project, students across Europe will turn their country’s map into a mythical creature, inspired by local folklore and shaped by environmental concerns. These “Guardians of Gaia” will become mascots that represent both creative imagination and ecological responsibility.
Students will:
- Create and illustrate their mythological Guardian
- Write eco-themed stories using CLIL methodology
- Research real environmental challenges and solutions
- Present their creature in a collaborative VR Exhibition
- Create online games based on their topic
- Compile their stories into a shared digital book
English will be used throughout the project, scaffolded with CLIL support tools and strategies.
Objectives
- Raise environmental awareness through storytelling and myth
- Develop 21st-century skills: creativity, critical thinking, collaboration
- Enhance English language skills via CLIL
- Use digital and AI tools for creative expression
- Foster European citizenship and intercultural exchange
